For some the close but not too close experience of Reiki is a more ideal treatment than the fully hands on experience of Massage Therapy. Some would equate it to the feeling one gets when praying with someone.
You will be fully clothed on a massage table or chair.
The Reiki experience can decrease the burden of feelings such as fear, anger, jealousy, guilt, insecurity, resentment, and hyper-vigilance.
Reiki can increase feelings of safety, security, satiety, and balance.
Reiki can be incorporated into Swedish-style massage therapy for no additional charge. Please request when booking.
Ethical, Empathetic Touch is essential to wellness. Experiencing this form of touch without judgement can bring peace, relaxation, and awareness.
With Swedish Massage the only goal is relaxation of a restless mind, body, and soul.
This type of massage can be done as frequently as once a week and is recommended at least once a month.
Massage can be administered through clothing or with skin-to-skin contact, but draping of the private areas is always required.
Thai massage is more energizing and rigorous than most other forms of massage therapy. It's also called Thai Yoga massage, because I use my hands, knees, legs, and feet to move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches.
Thai massage is like doing yoga without doing any of the work.
No oil is applied, so you are fully dressed during the session. A single Thai massage session will help you release stress and relieve pain, and help you function more effectively at work and home.
I am new to this modality. First 20 Thai Massage appointments will be discounted 20%

If you know exactly where the problem lies and you just really want to work out that one spot, you may find you're surprised when we discover the actual source of the pain.
This work is often done skin-to-skin, utilizing Neuromuscular Techniques, with Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (wooden or stone tools) which allow me to sink deeper into the tissue, Trigger Point therapy, and other methods to provide a deep and lasting relaxation of your muscular problems.
Deep Tissue Massage is a form of bodywork that aims to relieve tension in the deeper layers of tissue in the body.
Deep Tissue Massage is a highly effective method for releasing chronic stress areas due to misalignment, repetitive motions, and past lingering injuries.
Due to the nature of the deep tissue work, open communication during the session is crucial to make sure you don't get too uncomfortable.
I do not subscribe to a “no pain, no gain” philosophy. I believe that open communication and focused breathing can allow this type of work to be done with minimal discomfort.
Keep in mind that soreness is common after the treatment, and that plenty of water should be ingested to aid in recovery, just like after exercise.
Add in or on to any Deep Tissue or Trigger Point Therapy.
Cupping applies suction to tissues in order to pull fluids to the surface. This has been shown to increase circulation and decrease deep tissue inflammation.

It's all the rage with professional athletes, but it's good for us non-olympians too.
Kinesio Tape can be incredibly beneficial for acute pain, chronic pain (which is usually posture related), diminishing the appearance of scars, and improving fluid dynamics (edema).
There are some contraindications for taping, so I do not tape without a little bit of bodywork and some health questions first.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions you may have about this service.

Dry Brushing: aids in draining of the lymphatic system with a slightly scratchy, irritating, exfoliating sensation. If you have rough patches of skin or have been ill frequently, this may help! Bring your own brush or purchase one in office for $15.
Essential Oils: Our sense of smell is one of our strongest senses when it comes to how we feel. Relaxed, Focussed, Energized, Invigorated, just to name a few. I have many, MANY oils. Let me know if you have a particular oil you're fond of, or if you would like me to create a special blend for you based on a sense you're striving for.
Hot Towels: Warm, wet towels placed over problem areas softens and relaxes the muscles so we can do better, deeper, faster work. Get the full effect by having them soaked in your choice of essential oil.
